Abstract

Introduction: The combination of repositioning and refilling techniques offers better outcomes than each of them separately in the treatment of facial aging.

Objective: To assess the aesthetic outcomes of facial antiaging treatment with the combined technique of cervicofacial rhytidectomy and lipoinjection.

Methods: A case-series study was conducted with 30 patients, under their consented participation, in the plastic and reconstructive surgery service of Hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras, between May 2020 and August 2023. Signs of aging were measured.

Results: After the intervention, in the three areas, the percentage of patients in the group classified as normal with respect to signs of aging increased twice as much (from 6.7 % to 13.3 %). There was improvement in all three areas of the white lip, whether right, left or center (16.7 %). The differences found in all cases were significant (p < 0.05). The surgical outcomes were classified as good for 100 % of the patients. It was considered that cervicofacial rhytidectomy, together with lipoinjection, offers a treatment option that addresses different signs of aging by combining benefits of each of the surgical techniques, with good outcomes, high satisfaction and few complications.

Conclusions: The evolution of autologous fat grafting was favorable in the different procedures performed; its outcomes were rated as good, and it presented few complications.
