Abstract

Introduction: Biliary cystadenocarcinoma is a rare cystic tumor, which originates from the hepatobiliary epithelium, whose growth is slow, and whose symptoms are variable and nonspecific.

Objective: To present the case of a patient with a biliary cystadenocarcinoma.

Case presentation: The case is presented of a 56-year-old female patient who came to our institution with pain in the right hypochondrium, fever and weight loss. Physical examination revealed a palpable mass in such abdominal area, with smooth edges, nonpainful, hard, with low mobility and related to the liver.
